Sustainability and circularity

Bramstrup's renting and commercial properties are continuously renovated with heat pumps, etc., thereby phasing out the site's fossil energy consumption. Buildings are restored using recyclable and natural materials and with a focus on preserving the original construction techniques.

In the historic buildings, successful functional changes have been implemented, which provides major climate benefits compared to new construction. The projects rethink and renew buildings that have lost their function and whose lifespan as agricultural buildings was actually over. The architectural, landscape and material qualities are preserved and reused, while the buildings are modernized and utilized for new purposes.

When hosting events at Bramstrup, specific requirements help suppliers to have a well-thought-out logistics flow with more efficient and sustainable processes. Bramstrup offers guests a new attractive location in the center of the country as an inspiring, recreational and cultural alternative to many CO2-heavy holiday or business trips.

In conjunction with Bramstrup's other activities, a 50-hectare nature and park area is being developed towards Odense. CO2 calculations have been made prior to the planting of new climate forests, which will grow while new plantings are established. In general, a lot of work is being put into promoting biodiversity everywhere on the property, and not least in the former gravel pit area.

For more than 30 years, Bramstrup has been actively working to rethink and renew traditional farming, so that Bramstrup today stands as a completely different and much more sustainable company. Bramstrup has been a case for the Regions' raw materials area, for Erhvervshus Fyn's sustainability network and for sustainable leadership at the Center for Arts and Leadership.

Bramstrup thus wants to create a harmonious whole that, with innovative examples, can inspire and motivate individuals to make sustainable choices.
