Concerts andperformances

Bramstrup's wood-clad barn building has exceptional acoustics, like an opera house of international stature. The building's beautiful spaces, informal setting and connection with the surrounding landscape all contribute to the experience of concerts and performances in the Barn.

In addition to the barn building, the concerts are held at the large amphitheater built on the lakeshore, in the Tower or in the Poet's Garden, which is also a well-functioning garden space.

It has also been possible for the artists to stay at Bramstrup for longer periods, whereby the place and the people behind the performances have mutually influenced each other, the artistic result and, to a large extent, Bramstrup's development.

Thus, since 2003, Bramstrup has been involved in many major performances, including the opera ORFEO by Monteverdi, The Nightingale by Stravinsky, the CARL theatre concert, the Royal Danish Theatre's Summer Opera, the Danish Radio Girls' Choir, the Carl Nielsen Festival and the recurring Autumn Concert with up to 100 participants.

The concept invites a synergy between the popular and the fine culture; between professionals and young students – (…) Students who experienced (Helene Blum & Harald Haugaard) The Band and the Schleswig Music Corps' beautiful musicianship – AND had the opportunity to participate/contribute to the beautiful acoustics in Bramstrup's Concert Barn. In the audience, both visitors and locals listened together with the proud parents to the many students on stage. A rare artistic, educational and unifying meeting!
